Paris is made for strolling; the best way to discover its pleasures is with your feet. The
river Seine and the Ile St-Louis are ten minutes down Boulevard Henri IV. Pass by way of
Bertillon’s famed ice cream (at your own risk) then continue on to the magnificent
landmark, Notre Dame. Keep walking and soon you’ll have to decide between getting an
eyeful in the Louvre or lolling in the Tuileries gardens. When you’re tired, hop the métro
and return chez vous in ten minutes.
Two of Paris’s best museums are in the Marais fifteen minutes by foot from your door. The
Musée Carnavelet beautifully presents the history of Paris, and the Musée Picasso houses
the genius’s largest collection in the world. Ten minutes further along rue des Francs
Bourgeois brings visitors to the high tech Centre Pompidou, among the most visited
cultural attractions in Paris.
